International Students
Community Christian School is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.
CCS is a fully accredited, non-denominational Christian school. Students do not have to be Christians to attend school, but they are required to take Bible classes each day, learning that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Only full year students are accepted, not semester. To receive a high school diploma, students must meet all requirements as set forth by the State of Oklahoma and Community Christian School. Otherwise, a student will receive a Certificate of Completion, not a high school diploma.
CCS does not provide host families and is not a boarding school.
Students must be proficient in English and depending on the grade level, either the TOEFL Junior Standard test or TOEFL scores are required. Students will not be allowed to use translators in class.
TOEFL Junior Standard Test scores required for 7th- 8th grade - minimum scores for each category - Listening Comprehension - 230+, Language Form & Meaning - 260+, and Reading Comprehension - 225+.
TOEFL Junior Standard Test scores required for 9th-10th grade - minimum scores for each category: Listening Comprehension - 265+, Language Form & Meaning - 280+, and Reading Comprehension - 280+.
TOEFL Test is required for 11th - 12th grade with a minimum score of 61. Scores need to be sent to CCS from the testing site.
The following steps should be followed for international students interested in attending Community Christian School:
1. Complete the new student inquiry form.
2. Provide the following: copy of passport, copy of any previous I20's, immunization records, certified bank letter stating family's yearly income for SEVIS, official copy of transcript in English, TOEFL Junior Standard Test or TOEFL score, host family information, and set up a telephone interview with Mrs. Stephens. The interview between the student and high school advisor is required and will help determine the student's English proficiency.
3. International student enrollment fee of $300, non-refundable.
Once a student has completed the above and has been accepted to CCS, an I20 will be issued. Upon arrival, students may need to take a math placement test before a class schedule can be set.
Tuition for the school year 2024-2025 is $8,550.00, plus registration and book fees (varies depending on the classes), cost of uniforms, lunch money, and extracurricular fees, if participating.
